Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Safely transport metals to various clients and AIM sites, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Local Trips: Mainly conduct local trips, ensuring efficient and timely delivery.
  • Pre-Trip Inspection: Conduct a thorough inspection of the vehicle before hitting the road, ensuring all necessary checks are completed.
  • Loading and Unloading: Participate in loading and unloading the trailer, ensuring accurate and safe handling of materials.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards established by law and by the employer, without exception.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate different types of heavy vehicles as needed, ensuring familiarity with various equipment.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, responding to client needs and concerns in a professional manner.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Valid Class 1 FM Driving License: Possess a valid Class 1 FM driving license and a good driving record.
  • Heavy Vehicle Experience: Minimum experience of 12 months on a heavy vehicle.
  • Trailer Experience: Have experience with different types of trailers.
Desirable Skills and Qualities
  • Health and Safety Awareness: Demonstrate a strong understanding of health and safety protocols.
  • Physical Condition: Possess excellent physical condition, enabling safe and efficient operation of heavy vehicles.
  • Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client needs and concerns in a professional manner.
  • Reliability and Punctuality: Demonstrate reliability and punctuality, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to schedules.
  • Respect for Equipment: Show respect for equipment and tools, ensuring proper maintenance and handling.
Additional Information
  • Full-Time Position: This is a full-time job, working Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Overtime: Overtime is paid at time and a half after 40 hours.
