Position Overview

Your leadership will guide a dedicated maintenance team, ensuring that all aspects of building and system upkeep are addressed promptly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

In your role as the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor, you will exemplify our core values and demonstrate a commitment to servant leadership. Your primary duties will include:

  • Providing daily guidance and mentorship to the maintenance staff.
  • Overseeing contracted maintenance services and ensuring effective scheduling.
  • Conducting performance evaluations and managing team dynamics.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and maintenance standards.
  • Handling routine repairs and overseeing specialized systems, such as door mechanisms.
  • Collaborating with the Administrator and Director of Maintenance on budget management and contract oversight.
  • Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and expenditures.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in repair and maintenance.
  • Strong knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proven leadership experience, including team supervision and project management.
  • Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

You will have exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing you to build and maintain professional relationships with residents, team members, and external stakeholders. Your leadership style will focus on coaching and mentoring, with a strong emphasis on conflict resolution and relationship preservation. You will be a critical thinker with excellent problem-solving abilities and strong organizational skills, adept at managing time and priorities effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers an hourly wage of $37.10, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes employer-paid extended health and dental coverage, four weeks of vacation, RRSP matching contributions, and support for ongoing professional development.
