Contents Restoration Specialist – Cleaner/Packer

Compensation: $20 – $25/ hour (full-time / permanent)

Position Overview – Cleaner/Packer – Contents Restoration Specialist

At On Side, our Cleaner Packers, also referred to as Contents Restoration Specialists, arrive each day with a positive mindset and a strong commitment to assist others. This essential team plays a crucial role in helping clients preserve their valued belongings and cherished memories through empathy, diligence, and teamwork.

In times of crisis, our Contents Restoration Specialist teams are mobilized to bring order back to chaos and manage the aftermath of disasters. Working both on-site and in our facilities ensures that no two days are alike.

Responsibilities of Contents Restoration Specialists include:

Collaborating with clients to restore personal and commercial items to their pre-disaster condition Packing and cataloging items from affected areas while creating detailed inventory lists Utilizing Encircle Restoration Software for efficient management Cleaning items and structures thoroughly Maintaining cleanliness of fabrics and textiles

Qualifications:

A positive attitude and genuine desire to assist others Strong organizational abilities Dependable attendance and flexibility to work extended hours when necessary Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Physically capable (ability to lift, carry, and pack items) and adherence to safety protocols Valid driver's license and clean driving record (required to operate company vehicles) Ability to pass a criminal background check Proficiency in English or French (QC) at an intermediate level

Relevant Experience:

Previous experience in restoration, hospitality, customer service, or related fields can contribute to success in this role.

Additional Skills for Success:

Enjoyment of teamwork and collaboration Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal

Important Note:

Disasters can occur unexpectedly, so a rotating schedule for after-hours on-call work is part of the role.
