Baker Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Baker to join our team at Bombay on the Lake Restaurant. As a Baker, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and desserts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods according to recipes or special customer orders.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Bake mixed dough and batters.
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Prepare special orders.
  • Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods.
  • Draw up production schedules.
  • Train staff.
  • Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards.
  • Inspect kitchen and food service areas.
  • Operate machinery.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 30 to 40 hours of work per week.
Work Environment:

The Baker will work in a fast-paced environment with a physically demanding job. The ability to distinguish between colors, attention to detail, and manual dexterity are essential skills for this position.
