Job Title: Occupational Therapist

Vision Loss Rehabilitation Canada is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping individuals who are blind or partially sighted to develop the skills and strategies they need to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to identify their strengths, needs, and goals.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Provide training and education to clients and their families on adaptive skills, such as daily living skills, communication, and technology use.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Participate in case conferences and provide consultation to other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Master of Occupational Therapy degree.
  • Current registration with the College of Occupational Therapists in Nova Scotia and willingness to obtain registration in Prince Edward Island.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an Occupational Therapy role, preferably in a community-based setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
