We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Waters Edge Community. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Document and follow up on resident concerns and complaints, collaborating with the Registered Nurse or designate as needed.
- Promote resident self-care and self-sufficiency, emphasizing adaptation and abilities, and providing preventative health education.
- Complete required assessments, RAPS, and care plans within established timeframes.
- Support unregulated care workers through guidance, direction, training, and education.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Current registration as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate.
- Current Medication Administration Certificate.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in Geriatric Nursing, Healthcare, and/or Rehabilitation as a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN).
- All applicants must successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check.
- As part of legislative requirements, all successful candidates must meet the provincial police check and tuberculosis screening requirements as applicable.
- Post-graduate studies in Geriatrics and Nursing Administration is an asset.
