Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform design and detailed engineering for projects in industrial settings
  • Establish design foundations and develop innovative concepts
  • Size and select appropriate equipment
  • Assess project costs and budgets
  • Define and implement necessary technical standards for projects
  • Create specification lists
  • Prepare and validate quotes, drawings, and tenders
  • Collaborate with the mechanical group and project teams
  • Coordinate project activities as the mechanical discipline representative
  • Ensure quality control of deliverables from the mechanical project team
  • Develop work plans for the discipline, outlining deliverables and deadlines
  • Execute projects according to established timelines
  • Manage project budgets for mechanical team hours

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Membership in the Professional Order of Engineers of the province (OIQ)
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in heavy industry and/or plant environments
  • Experience with piping, pressure vessels, bulk material handling, and industrial equipment
  • Consulting engineering background
  • Familiarity with ASME codes
  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written
