Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the overall success of the Confirmation Operations Technology team by executing individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.
- Ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
- Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Contribute to the operational effectiveness and productivity of the Global Wholesale Operations units by conceptualizing, evaluating, recommending, and implementing new systems, equipment, and procedures.
- Administer and document internally and externally system-initiated projects and SSRs, Problem Logs, Emergency Change Requests, Project Work Orders, WMSD Intake requests, and general system changes.
- Manage multiple small system projects and assist in large system initiatives/enhancements concurrently.
- Provide development and support of applications to various business lines using C#.NET and related technologies.
- Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.
- 5+ years of technical work experience in C#,.NET, IIS, SQL, PowerShell, Windows Server, and Dev-Ops.
- 5+ years of experience designing patterns and Object-Oriented Design concepts.
- Solid understanding of SQL programming preferably with MSSQL experience (minimum 5 years' experience).
- Recent experience in utilizing Source Control & Build Tools, like Azure DevOps, GIT, etc.
- Expert in SQL scripting.
- MS Visual Studio.
- Streaming Architecture knowledge and awareness of related publishing tools (Kafka, Elasticsearch).
- 3 years of financial services industry experience, especially capital markets supporting Operations functions (confirmations, settlements, funding, reconciliations, asset servicing, collateral management, or other).
- Good understanding of the principles of project management and Bank's Enterprise Delivery Framework (EDF).
