About This Role

Job Summary

The Integrated Solution Lead is a key member of a small team of senior training development experts responsible for designing comprehensive end-to-end solutions for training systems used by defense forces and para-military organizations worldwide. Leveraging CAE's core simulation technologies and best-in-class teaching methodologies, the successful candidate will lead the definition of training solutions from early customer interactions to contract award.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of fully integrated training solutions, from pre-RFP to contract award, in collaboration with CAE's worldwide network of domain experts and industry partners.
  • Act as the main focal point and Design Authority on training solutions for internal and external stakeholders, including customers and end-users.
  • Participate in training product R&D road map definitions to outline strategies for meeting customer training needs through best-in-class learning methodologies and tools.
  • Provide leadership to Capture Teams on large training system integration opportunities, developing various aspects of the proposed solution, including:
    • Training Task, Training Needs, and Training Media Analysis
    • Training Curriculum Design in partnership with technical leads, learning specialists, domain experts, and customer authorities
    • Leveraging CAE technologies, standard products, and sub-contractor capabilities in the design of a cohesive and optimal integrated training solution
    • Utilizing modern tools and multi-disciplinary teams to perform Training Solution design within applicable training development processes
    • Collaborating with System Architects to ensure training requirements are well-defined and clearly derived into engineering and courseware requirements
    • Defining a winning execution strategy for major opportunities, including make-buy analysis, strategic partner selection, and workshare definition
    • Preparing and delivering comprehensive Solution Reviews to stakeholders to communicate winning strategies and end-to-end technical, programmatic, and commercial solutions
    • Facilitating, consolidating, and validating cost estimating and risk analysis from stakeholders
    • Identifying potential execution and deliverable issues, concerns, and risks associated with the overall training solution design, deployment, and delivery phases
    • Interfacing with customers and end-users to present and review training solutions during pre-contract award business capture phases
Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of related experience in industry and/or military service, with 10 years focused on training program development and delivery for the defense sector
  • Canadian Forces experience highly desirable
  • Relevant experience leading large training development, training integration, or engineering projects
  • Knowledge of training development processes, including the Science of Learning, Adult Learning, E-Learning, System Approach to Training (SAT & DSAT), and Instructional Systems Design
  • Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
  • Good ability to develop capture strategies and proposal storyboards, leveraging winning themes and discriminators
  • Good business acumen and political savvy
  • Knowledge of systems engineering development processes
  • Experience in large project management is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of CAE's training solutions approach and of CAE's modeling and simulation systems is considered an asset
  • Availability to travel internationally up to 5% of the time
  • Must be able to obtain and retain Canadian and NATO Secret Security Clearances
