VP, Information Technology Job Description

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead our Information Technology function, driving business growth and innovation through strategic technology initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Map and evaluate the current state of our IT landscape, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Complete a risk assessment of our IT infrastructure, ensuring business continuity and resilience.
  • Assess the capabilities of our IT team and develop a plan to build and mentor a high-performing team, balancing efficiency and scalability.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor the effectiveness of our IT function.
  • Partner with business functions to create best-in-class business practices, leveraging technology to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop a 3-5 year IT strategic roadmap, aligning with our company's long-term growth strategy.
  • Lead a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of leadership experience in a broad IT function, with a proven track record of driving business change and establishing business processes.
  • Demonstrated expertise in front and back-end application systems design and development, from business requirements analysis to project execution and delivery.
  • Strong understanding of the IT industry within a retail setting, with a perspective on best-in-class practices and a genuine interest in the evolution of the function through exploration of new technologies and AI/ML capabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
