We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Director, Rail and Transit Infrastructure to join our growing team. This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of GHD's Rail/Transit practice.
Responsibilities- Lead multidisciplinary teams for preliminary and detailed design of linear infrastructure projects and programs as a Project Manager or Project Director.
- Take full ownership of all project aspects, from proposal to close-out, including team management, sub-consultant coordination, budget control, schedule adherence, quality assurance, safety protocols, and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate effectively with GHD's Design teams, potentially located internationally.
- Provide clear responses to contractor inquiries, review shop drawings, and conduct site visits during construction as required.
- Prepare, track, and administer project budgets meticulously.
- Engage with clients, actively participate in business development initiatives, and promote the company's services.
- Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng) in Ontario.
- Accredited Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or actively pursuing it.
- Proven experience working for Regional Municipalities or Local Transit Agencies.
- 15+ years of project management experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams, with a focus on Bus Rapid Transit and/or Light Rail Transit projects.
- Expertise in Project Delivery models such as P3, DB, PDB, and experience managing teaming arrangements with contractors and consultants.
- Experience navigating projects through an alliance delivery model is highly advantageous.
