Job Title: Senior Finance Analyst

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Analyst to join our team at CB Canada. As a Senior Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in overseeing senior analysts, reviewing financial data, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Oversight: Oversee senior analysts who are completing financial reconciliation work, reviewing public disclosures, and reconciliations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Gain a thorough understanding of the consolidated Bank and business segments Basel III reporting processes, including BCAR, New Credit Risk (NCR), and Pillar 3.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Chiefs Basel Reporting team and other departments to understand the impact on regulatory reporting and operational requirements related to Basel III projects.
  • Task Management: Oversee and review various tasks within Chief's Basel Reporting, including financial reconciliation, analysis, validation of results, and issues investigation.
  • Public Disclosures: Complete various quarterly Pillar 3 public disclosures.
  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Be involved in various testing relating to quarterly technology releases or projects impacting the regulatory floor, NCR, or Pillar 3.
  • Communication: Provide status updates and escalation of issues to other Managers, Senior Manager, Chiefs - Regulatory Reporting, and Associate Vice-President, Chiefs Regulatory Reporting.

Requirements:

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Able to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Technical Skills: MS Office, Advanced Excel, V loop ups, pivot tables, formulas, and HFM.
  • Financial Experience: Experience within a large financial organization.
  • Critical Thinking: Critical thinker.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Basel Knowledge: Knowledge of the Basel capital frameworks.

Assignment Details:

  • Assignment Start Date: ASAP - 9 months to start.
  • Assignment Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid.
