Supporting the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF), KF Aerospace delivers cutting-edge pilot training in Southport, MB. This program is enhanced by advanced software, stationary and full-motion simulators, and a diverse fleet of aircraft, including the G120A Grob for initial training phases, the King Air C-90B for multi-engine training, and the Bell 206 Jet Ranger and Bell 412 for advanced training.

POSITION SUMMARY

Instructors within KF Aerospace Defence Programs undergo rigorous training aligned with Department of National Defence (DND) standards. Training encompasses comprehensive courseware, flight simulator sessions, and actual flight instruction. Successful candidates will also receive training in aerobatics and will be qualified to instruct aerobatics after completing their military check ride. This esteemed role involves classroom instruction, ground school teaching, and personalized flight instruction for motivated students eager to learn.

PRIMARY INSTRUCTOR REQUIREMENTS

  • Valid Transport Canada Class 3 (or higher) Instructor Rating preferred; Class 4 may be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Minimum of 300 hours of instructing experience; 500 hours preferred.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

As an instructor, you will exhibit strong leadership qualities and professionalism. You are a proactive team player capable of maintaining effective communication with staff, students, and military personnel. You should be organized and adaptable to military-style instruction and protocols. A commitment to lifelong learning and personal development is essential, along with proficiency in MS Office Suite and the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Works and Government Services Enhanced Reliability Clearance.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND COMPENSATION

Our instructors benefit from a consistent schedule that promotes a healthy work-life balance. Typically, instructors work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and receive a salary that includes paid overtime, statutory holidays, and a structured pay progression scale with bonuses.

Upon certification as Qualified Flight Instructors (generally after about four months of training), instructors can expect annual wage increases, with top salaries ranging from $92,491.26 to $102,576.16.
