Montreal, Quebec, Canada Ubisoft Entertainment Full time

As a Production Associate at Ubisoft, you will be instrumental in steering the development of a specific segment of a video game. Depending on the overarching production strategy and organizational framework, your focus could encompass areas such as animation, level design, gameplay, world-building, or a combination thereof.

Your role will involve guiding one or multiple interdisciplinary teams to bring your designated portion to fruition from inception to completion. You will establish well-structured workflows paired with clear expectations, enabling your team members to excel and leverage their strengths.

Through meticulous planning, consistent follow-through, and vigilant oversight, you will ensure that development remains on track, directing efforts towards the most critical tasks and adapting as necessary.

While enhancing production capacity and quality, you will ensure that your team is equipped to deliver their segment of the game within a supportive and productive environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the core team to grasp the overall game vision and requirements, effectively communicating them across the production landscape.
  • Define the scope of your focus area: create a long-term roadmap and schedule, establish deliverables, quality benchmarks, key milestones, and outline development strategies and budgets.
  • Implement necessary measures to facilitate production: develop workflows and pipelines, and foster interaction among colleagues.
  • Set clear objectives for your team members and ensure a seamless process for achieving those objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and devise action plans to mitigate them.
  • Conduct team meetings to clarify milestones, prioritize deliverables, provide updates, address concerns, offer direction, and gather feedback.
  • Coordinate with the producer, production director, and production managers regarding progress and budget follow-ups.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance and innovate our processes, methodologies, and practices.
  • Participate in recruitment efforts to build your team and support their professional development and career advancement.
Qualifications
  • Approximately 7 years of experience in production or project management within the video game industry (or other relevant fields).
  • Demonstrated flexibility to adapt to various situations and navigate interdependencies.
  • Familiarity with diverse project management methodologies.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative, attentive, and innovative mindset.
  • A people-centric approach: while results are important, you value the dedicated individuals behind them.
