About the Role

As a Registered Psychologist, you will play a vital role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students within our school system. You will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals to provide comprehensive psychological services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychoeducational assessments, including administering standardized tests, interpreting results, and providing recommendations for interventions.
  • Collaborate with families, educators, and support staff to develop individualized intervention plans based on assessment findings.
  • Provide classroom observations, conduct file reviews, gather case history information, and analyze student data to inform your assessments and recommendations.
  • Deliver workshops and in-service training sessions to enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers and educational assistants regarding child development, mental health, and learning support strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports related to student assessments and interventions, adhering to ethical standards and relevant policies.
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in the field of school psychology to ensure the delivery of evidence-based services.
Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Registered Psychologist or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for full registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists, including an Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE).
  • Current and valid Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, word processing applications, and relevant software.
