Job Title: Retail Store Supervisor

Happa Butchery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our retail store, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of sales associates and butchers.
  • Authorize Payments: Manage cash handling and authorize payments by cheque.
  • Order Merchandise: Source and purchase high-quality meat products and supplies.
  • Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing and minimize labor costs.
  • Prepare Sales Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters.
  • Organize Inventory: Manage and maintain accurate inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize stock levels.
  • Supervise Staff: Supervise and coordinate the activities of sales associates, butchers, and other staff members.
  • Manage Cash: Handle cash transactions and manage cash handling procedures.
  • Supervise Office Staff: Supervise and support office staff, including administrative assistants and volunteers.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Setting: Butcher shop environment.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail or supervisory role.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
