Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Mechanic to join our team at Imperial Truck & Trailer Repair Ltd. As an Apprentice Mechanic, you will assist in the repair and maintenance of heavy-duty trucks and trailers, working under the guidance of our experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and diagnose mechanical issues in truck and trailer systems, identifying faults and malfunctions.
  • Review work orders and plan repairs, ensuring efficient use of time and resources.
  • Test and adjust automotive systems and components, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
  • Repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, using specialized tools and equipment.
  • Estimate costs for repairs and maintenance, providing accurate quotes to customers.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and relevant education or training.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a workshop or repair setting.
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and other personal protective equipment as required.
Certifications and Licenses
  • Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement or equivalent certification.
Work Environment
  • Workshop setting, with regular exposure to heavy machinery and equipment.
  • 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
  • English language proficiency, with ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
