Job Summary

This role is responsible for coordinating the activities of associates to complete assigned tasks related to receiving and the flow of merchandise through to the sales floor. The successful candidate will be responsible for unloading trailers, pulling pallets to the floor, and assisting in the processing of merchandise in a safe and clean environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures, including the completion of safety sweep logs and ensuring displays and fixtures are secure.
  2. Prepare and Reset Receiving Area: Ensure the receiving area is organized and ready for merchandise receipt.
  3. Unload and Sort Merchandise: Unload trailers and sort general merchandise, as well as complete live unloading of other types of merchandise.
  4. Delegating and Following-up: Delegate tasks to associates and follow up to ensure completion of tasks, including pulling pallets of merchandise to the sales floor for overnight processing.
  5. Stocking and Merchandise Management: Assist in stocking merchandise on the sales floor, applying product protection as assigned, and binning overstock merchandise.
  6. Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and feedback to associates to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  7. Team Leadership: Act as a team lead by providing direction to associates and ensuring the team is working efficiently to meet business objectives.
  8. Cold Chain Management: Maintain the cold chain for refrigerated and frozen merchandise.
