**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Core Systems Developer to join our team at Invest Ottawa. As a key member of our software engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native SaaS solutions that meet the needs of our clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Design and develop high-quality software applications using C++ or Golang
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements
  • Implement automated monitoring and recovery mechanisms to minimize downtime
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum methodologies and contribute to a highly collaborative and fast-paced team environment

**Requirements**

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • 2+ years of experience in data transfer technologies
  • 5+ years of overall software development experience, including experience building secure software applications
  • Familiarity with cloud storage (AWS, Azure, Google) and deploying software to the cloud
  • Intimate knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP, UDP
  • Strong debugging skills

**Nice to Have**

  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with cloud-native SaaS development
  • Knowledge of cloud storage and deployment
