About the Role

RMS Trucking Ltd is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use your technical expertise to detect faults and malfunctions in our trucks.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Utilize computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and perform repairs.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to ensure our trucks are in good working condition.
  • Test and Verify Repairs: Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Document Maintenance: Keep accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: This is a physically demanding role that requires bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
