About the Role:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team in a rural community. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing supportive care to patients in need, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal assistance to patients, including support with activities of daily living and support services, in accordance with patient care plans and facility policies.
  • Work closely with patients, families, and caregivers to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Assist nurses with routine care, including hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs.
  • Maintain a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors, and report any concerns or issues to management.

Requirements:

  • Completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory.
  • Must provide a confirmation letter as proof of enrolment from the Directory.
  • Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have successfully completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum may be considered.
