Role Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer – Team Lead, you will join the Core Product Solutions (CORE) Identity Team, a distinguished group of tech enthusiasts dedicated to providing customer-facing authentication solutions. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Engaging in a dynamic, agile team environment to support high-traffic, modern applications.
  • Developing and testing enhancements for our authentication systems.
  • Mentoring team members by providing constructive feedback on code quality and performance.
  • Leading design decisions, including researching and prototyping new technologies.
  • Assisting other teams in integrating with our authentication solutions.
  • Collaborating with customer support to resolve authentication-related issues.
  • Participating in daily huddles and Scrum ceremonies.
  • Working closely with fellow developers, UX designers, support teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Promoting high-quality software design through disciplined development practices.
  • Continuously improving team processes and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor engineers through complex technical challenges.
  • Experience in delegating tasks to foster team growth.
  • Capability to provide feedback and coaching on necessary technical skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills in both team and independent settings.
  • Familiarity with OAuth2.0, OIDC, or other contemporary authentication frameworks.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end JavaScript libraries (e.g., ReactJS, Vue, Angular).
  • Experience with JavaScript, NodeJS, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Object-oriented programming experience with languages such as Java, Kotlin, TypeScript, Golang, Python, or C#; with a focus on TypeScript and Java.
  • Understanding of client/server architecture and web services using REST or GraphQL.
  • Knowledge of coding best practices for security and performance.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
  • Background in cloud development (AWS preferred).
  • Comprehensive experience in the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
  • A passion for learning and exploring new technologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Delivery.
  • Familiarity with Authentication/Authorization systems.
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture.
  • Experience with SEO and/or mobile development.
  • Proven track record of building large-scale applications or services that enhance multiple products.
  • Experience supporting applications across various markets and languages.
  • Agile software development experience, including Test Driven Development and Pair Programming.
