The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our Saltwater Aquaculture Team as a Saltwater Aquaculture Worker. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and operating feeding systems, reporting any observed irregularities in stocks, and performing various tasks related to marine cage and net installation and removal.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and operate feeding systems to ensure optimal fish growth and health.
  • Report any observed irregularities in stocks to the management team.
  • Install and inspect/repair grids as needed.
  • Install and remove marine cages and nets.
  • Operate, maintain, and clean aquaculture equipment and enclosures.
  • Perform general site maintenance, including net washing.
  • Operate boats for aquaculture operations.
  • Grade and weigh aquaculture stock.
  • Assist with harvesting as required.

Requirements

  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Marine Emergency Duties (MED) certificate.
  • Be comfortable working in outside weather conditions on both aquaculture sites and aboard maintenance vessels.
  • Experience within the aquaculture field is considered an asset, but on-the-job training is provided.
