Job Title: Plumbing Apprentice

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Plumbing Apprentice to join our team at Tony Rhynold Electrical Plumbing & Heating Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist our experienced plumbers in performing various tasks related to plumbing, including reading blueprints, locating and marking positions for pipe connections, and testing pipes for leaks.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Assist in cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings.
  • Help in joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
  • Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements:
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Judgement and team player skills.
