Job Summary

1987174 Alberta Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Class 1 Truck Driver to join our team. As a long-haul truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials across the country, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods at designated locations, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cargo.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
  • Logistics and Scheduling: Plan and coordinate routes, schedules, and cargo to ensure timely delivery and meet customer requirements.
  • Communication: Maintain regular communication with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Class 1 Driver's License: Possess a valid Class 1 driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience as a long-haul truck driver, with a proven track record of safe driving and excellent customer service.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift, push, and pull heavy objects, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in weather and road conditions.
  • Language: Speak and write English fluently, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
