About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Preparation Specialist at Opa Souvlaki. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitizing: Clean and sanitize items such as dishwasher mats, carts, and waste disposal units to maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items, including portioning and wrapping foods, to meet customer demands.
  • Customer Service: Serve customers at counters or buffet tables, taking orders and handling customer inquiries in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas to maintain an organized and efficient inventory system.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including conventional ovens, deep fryers, and electronic cash registers, to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and handle and store cleaning products in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Physical Demands: Stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and work in a fast-paced environment to meet the demands of a busy kitchen.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English language proficiency required.
  • Work Hours: 32 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts.
