About the Role

Murata Power Solutions, Inc. is a leading provider of power conversion products, focused on delivering innovative solutions to the Server, Storage, Networking (SSN) and E-Mobility markets. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing AC-DC and DC-DC power supplies that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support senior engineers in leading power supply development projects or sub-projects of small to medium complexity from kickoff through to manufacturing introduction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the technical integrity of the design and meet product safety and EMC requirements.
  • Interface with customers to communicate technical information and provide solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Supervise the work of technologists working on the project and ensure that design documentation meets corporate engineering procedures.
  • Perform schematic entry, calculations, simulations, and bread-boarding in the design process.
  • Implement microcontroller firmware and hardware for power management/control functions in power supplies.
  • Design circuits and perform tests and evaluations for design verification and integrity.
  • Stay up-to-date with innovations and trends in Power Electronics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-frequency power supply design.
  • Experience in switching power supplies AC/DC, DC/DC with various topologies and knowledge in resonant converter such as LLC, LCC converters.
  • Experience with Wide band Gap devices like SiC and GaN devices and their application in power electronics circuits.
  • Experience in design and optimization of magnetic components like transformers and Inductors for power electronics.
  • Experience in Analog circuit design and Control theory Techniques, Z-transformation, and digital control systems for power electronics application.
  • Experience with MATLAB, MathCAD, and PSPice simulation tools.
  • Experience in designing systems to meet product safety and EMC requirements.
  • Experience in electronic packaging and product development activities.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Work Environment

This is an on-site role with one flex day per week of remote work.
