Job Summary:

The NAIT Forest Technology program is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Educational Laboratory Technologist II to support the delivery of classes in the labs and field camps. As a key member of the program instructional staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the setup and operation of field camps and field labs
  • Prepare, maintain, and repair program equipment
  • Transport equipment and students to field activities and program events
  • Setup and support classroom and lab activities
  • Provide mechanical and maintenance services
  • Other related duties

Requirements:

  • Forest Technology Diploma
  • Related industry experience
  • Registered or eligible for registration with the College of Alberta Professional Forest Technologists (CAPFT) or College of Alberta Professional Foresters (CAPF)
  • Valid Alberta Class 5 Driver's License (Class 4 License is an asset) – driver's abstract required
  • Current Standard First Aid and CPR
  • Chainsaw instructional certification OR Type 1 Wildfire Crew Leader certification with active operational experience in Alberta would be an asset
  • Equivalencies may be considered
