Rehabilitation Veterinarian

VCA Western Veterinary Specialist and Emergency Centre is seeking a dedicated and passionate Rehabilitation Specialist to join our growing team.
As a Rehabilitation Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to animals recovering from injuries, surgery, or degenerative diseases. Your expertise in advanced canine therapies will be instrumental in restoring their physical function and improving their quality of life.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans for patients based on their specific needs and conditions.
- Perform a wide range of therapeutic interventions, including massage, hydrotherapy, laser therapy, and exercise prescription.
- Collaborate closely with veterinarians and other members of the veterinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Educate pet owners on rehabilitation techniques and provide guidance on home exercises.
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license allowing practice in Canada.
- Completion of a recognized internship or residency in rehabilitation medicine.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in soft tissue surgical procedures, preventative care, and nutritional counseling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, pet owners, and colleagues.
