We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to lead our Transportation Engineering team in the development of innovative and sustainable transportation solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex transportation projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and exceeding client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage transportation projects, including Class Environmental Assessments, TPAP, preliminary designs, intersection, or corridor improvement studies
- Lead transportation engineering task forces for large-scale projects
- Review and approve preliminary and detailed design drawings, reports, and proposals
- Manage staff productivity and utilization
- Mentor staff and project teams
- Supervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projects
- Foster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focus
- Lead and direct business development activities in the GTHA
- Project coordination between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budget
- Client liaison
- Participation in the management of the Infrastructure Group in Toronto West Office
- Bachelor's University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
- 5+ years of Project Management experience as well as 8+ years of Transportation Engineering
- Roadway preliminary or detailed design experience
- P.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) preferred
- Experience with MTO, Region of Peel, York Region, and Halton Region are an asset
- Experience with preliminary and detailed design of arterial roads, highways, and freeways (alignments, geometrics, staging, traffic management, roadside safety)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads, and Civil3D an asset
- Understanding of traffic engineering principles
- Familiarity with GTHA market conditions, public and private sector client base in and around the GTHA
- Familiar with construction inspection and preparation of reports
- Ability to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clients
- Excellent technical verbal and written communication skills are expected
- Highly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeed
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high-quality work
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
