Job Title: Wood Processing Machine Operator

XYLO-CARBONE INC. is seeking a skilled Wood Processing Machine Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and physically demanding individual to operate and tend various wood processing machines to remove bark, knots, and dirt from logs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for completing and maintaining production reports, operating and tending equipment to peel and slice veneer from logs and log sections, and observing equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate and tend various wood processing machines to remove bark, knots, and dirt from logs.
  • Complete and maintain production reports.
  • Operate and tend equipment to peel and slice veneer from logs and log sections.
  • Observe equipment, panel indicators, video monitors, and other instruments to ensure that processes are operating according to specifications.
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
