The Role

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Apprentice Carpenter to join our team at Parkwest Projects Ltd. As an Apprentice Carpenter, you will work under the direction of the Site Superintendent and be responsible for assisting in the construction of various projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate hand and power tools to assist in the construction process
  • Assist in the placement and tying of rebar
  • Perform manual labor tasks as assigned, including carrying materials, tools, and equipment
  • Ensure the proper care and attention of company tools and equipment
  • Prepare work areas for subtrades
  • Meet physical demands of the role, including lifting 50lbs at a time
  • Develop good interpersonal and communication skills when working with subtrades and other team members
  • Understand and adhere to safety policies, safe work practices, and safe job procedures
  • Work in variable climatic conditions

Qualifications & Skills

  • Certified Level 2, 3, or 4 Apprentice
  • Reliable and hardworking team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks and communicate effectively
  • 3-5 years experience in the construction industry an asset
