Position Overview

AECOM is looking for a dedicated Electrical Engineer/EIT to join our dynamic team.

The role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Developing analytical and design capabilities.
  • Executing engineering designs under the guidance of seasoned professionals.
  • Designing and specifying electrical distribution systems and control devices for diverse applications, including municipal and industrial sectors.
  • Providing leadership in electrical engineering for small to medium-scale industrial projects, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Senior Engineers, while coordinating with other disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Adhering to AECOM's design standards and learning client-specific requirements as necessary.
  • Ensuring the precision and quality of technical documentation in line with AECOM's QA/QC procedures.
  • Mentoring junior team members and effectively managing multiple project assignments.
  • Delivering project outputs in a timely manner while maintaining quality and budget constraints.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Two years of relevant industry experience in electrical design within a multi-disciplinary environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered as EIT or eligible for registration within six months.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project.
  • Experience in producing technical documents such as P&IDs, electrical diagrams, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with the Canadian Electrical Code and experience with various voltage systems.
  • Ability to manage design deliverables efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD and REVIT MEP.
  • Experience in municipal infrastructure or light industrial design.
  • Knowledge of construction services, site supervision, and field inspections.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable to fast-paced environments.
