Job Summary

SARTAJ TRUCKING LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across various locations, working as part of a two-person team or convoy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe driving record.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, performing brake adjustments, and performing emergency roadside repairs.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including driver logbooks, inspection reports, and maintenance and repair reports.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Teamwork: Work collaboratively with other drivers and team members to achieve common goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Language: English.
Work Environment

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with varying weather conditions and road conditions. You will be required to work independently, with minimal supervision, and make decisions quickly and safely.
