Job Title: Community Leader at Canada Post
The Community Leader at Canada Post is responsible for engaging with the local community to promote and sell postal products and services. Reporting to the Superintendent/Local Area Manager, you will oversee the operations of the post office in your service area, ensuring a strong customer focus and commitment to the community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the local community regarding Canada Post services and products
- Promote and sell postal products and services to the public and businesses
- Administer the post office to meet retail hours and delivery expectations
- Manage postal revenue, assets, and values
- Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports
- Supervise and train staff, as well as assess performance and provide constructive feedback
- Assist in managing mail delivery routes effectively to ensure timely and efficient delivery
Qualifications and Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience in business administration or a related field
- Proven experience in team leadership and interaction with the public in a retail/service environment
- Knowledge of mail processing regulations and postal services, including safety protocols
- Ability to lift mail containers up to 50 lb, push/pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for long periods
