Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Environmental Sustainability Expert to join our team at the University of Ottawa. The successful candidate will have a graduate degree with considerable work experience in a senior managerial role in the private or public sector in areas related to environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement project management strategies to achieve environmental sustainability goals
  • Communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds, including economics, political science, natural sciences, and engineering
  • Design and deliver professional skills courses to students of diverse backgrounds
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement public policy reports
  • Develop and implement communication strategies and tactics to promote environmental sustainability

Requirements:

  • Graduate degree with considerable work experience in a senior managerial role in the private or public sector in areas related to environmental sustainability
  • Practical experience with project management, networking, negotiation, communication strategies, public consultation, and social media marketing
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students from diverse backgrounds
  • Previous experience teaching professional skills or professional development courses to students of diverse backgrounds is considered an asset

Working Conditions:

The course will be offered in person, on campus.

An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.
