About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Sandra Settino. As a Home Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing assistance to clients in their homes, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Housekeeping and Cleaning: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Companionship: Provide companionship and social interaction to clients, helping to alleviate feelings of loneliness and isolation.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and serve nutritious meals to clients, taking into account their dietary needs and preferences.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
  • Work Setting: Optional accommodation available at no charge on a live-in basis (note: this is not a condition of employment).
  • Work Hours: 30 to 44 hours per week.
Personal Qualities
  • Initiative: Take the initiative to ensure clients' needs are met and their comfort is maintained.
  • Organized: Be organized and able to prioritize tasks to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Reliability: Demonstrate reliability and a commitment to attending work as scheduled.
  • Patience: Show patience and understanding when interacting with clients, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
  • Honesty: Demonstrate honesty and integrity in all interactions with clients and colleagues.
