About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our team at The CSL Group Inc. as a key member of our Commercial and Operational pillars.

As a Senior Legal Advisor, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our Commercial and Operational teams, ensuring that our business operations are conducted in a compliant and risk-managed manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal counsel and support to our Commercial and Operational teams on a wide range of matters, including customer contracts, commercial transactions, and operational agreements.
  • Assist in the drafting and negotiation of contracts with customers, suppliers, and other third parties.
  • Provide opinions and guidance on legal matters related to our business operations, including analyzing applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assess and mitigate legal risk in commercial and operational transactions.
  • Supervise external counsel in commercial and operational matters.
  • Support the Assistant General Counsel in legal matters related to financings, including providing legal assistance in relation to financings and borrowing transactions.
Requirements
  • 2-5 years of legal experience in commercial and corporate law with a major law firm or corporation.
  • Law degree from a recognized law faculty at a Canadian university.
  • Member of the Barreau du Quebec or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiating skills.
  • Strong team player and collaborator.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize files and manage time.
  • Effective risk manager and confident in making sound legal business decisions.
