Role Summary:

We are seeking a qualified professional to become a part of our Actuarial Services division. This team is tasked with assessing liabilities, determining industry premium rates, and providing premium-related assistance for the Underwriting sector, alongside conducting risk evaluations, financial projections, and pricing adjustments for policy modifications. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of actuarial expertise and robust programming capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Contribute to the design, development, testing, and upkeep of actuarial computing systems for major recurring projects and assignments, including liability assessments, financial projections, experience evaluations, and rate determination.
  2. Evaluate and apply actuarial methodologies to ascertain claim benefit liabilities, industry premium rates, and conduct experience assessments.
  3. Deliver analytical support for research, strategic planning, and program development in response to both internal and external inquiries.
  4. Engage in department-wide initiatives and other significant projects as necessary.
Qualifications and Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree in mathematical, statistical, actuarial sciences, or computing sciences.
  2. Completion of three or more examinations towards the Associate of the Society of Actuaries (A.S.A.) or Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (A.C.A.S.) designation, with ongoing efforts to achieve associateship through continued examination.
  3. This role requires a self-motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  4. Strong analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail, along with effective interpersonal skills, the capacity to work under pressure, and a collaborative team spirit are essential for success in this position.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is mandatory.
  6. Solid knowledge of SQL programming is essential.
  7. Familiarity with additional programming languages (such as Visual Basic.Net) is advantageous.
  8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  9. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Salary Range:
