Join Our Team as a Strategic Sourcing Manager
As a vital member of our organization, you will engage in dynamic sourcing and process enhancement initiatives that align with CAE's strategic objectives.
In collaboration with our global Technology and Product teams, your role will involve identifying, assessing, and selecting the most suitable vendors and technologies to foster CAE's growth.
This position falls under the Indirect Procurement division and reports directly to the Senior Manager of the Product Technology team, which consists of four Strategic Sourcing Managers, three Procurement Analysts, and two Procurement Coordinators.
Our team is diverse, bringing together individuals from various backgrounds, all united in their commitment to fulfilling the department's vision and contributing significantly to CAE's digital transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as an effective communicator and skilled negotiator, well-versed in the terms and conditions of IT contracts.
- Leverage prior experience in Global IT procurement, particularly in IT infrastructure and technology sectors.
- Formulate and implement IT Sub-Category Strategies that align with CAE's Global Digital Roadmap.
- Lead the execution of sourcing strategies in accordance with established category plans.
- Conduct market intelligence to uncover opportunities and drive innovation.
- Manage critical supplier agreements and oversee strategic sourcing efforts.
- Monitor, evaluate, and enhance supplier performance while expanding the supplier base.
- Conduct research to support the overarching category strategy.
- Act as a change agent, collaborating with senior leadership to foster sustainable sourcing practices.
- Engage regularly with key IT and business leaders to balance cost, risk, and urgency, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
