Job Summary

eTor Networks is seeking a skilled Telecommunications Line Installer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, testing equipment to locate transmission faults, and completing and maintaining test and service reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including cable modems and software to enable Internet access.
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports, including work assignments and equipment usage.
  • Repair or replace faulty cables, power suppliers, and amplifiers, as well as splice, join, and connect wires.
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment, including coaxial lines, fibre optics, single lines, and copper.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications or a related field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
