Core Responsibilities:

  • Developing a team of problem solvers who convert buy plan requirements into optimized production plans that effectively support service level objectives while minimizing total supply chain costs.
  • Managing team workloads to balance factory complexities, seasonal volumes, individual strengths, and career development.
  • Collaborating with the Sourcing team to create and maintain multi-year capacity plans for all manufacturers, ensuring healthy capacity utilization rates.
  • Working closely with Merchandise Planning & Allocations teams to devise a procurement strategy for all global product categories, reconciling supply chain constraints with the buy plan.
  • Partnering with Merchandise Planning & Allocations to achieve inventory goals without compromising service levels, including Open to Buy tracking and other relevant inventory initiatives.
  • Leading initiatives to enhance and refine supply planning processes, implementing changes that promote continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Standardizing role-specific processes and best practices to ensure consistency and efficiency in supply planning activities.
  • Effectively managing change initiatives to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes within the team.
  • Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of all factories and related processes to provide guidance and leadership to individual planners.
  • Driving high performance against departmental KPIs, continuously evolving current metrics and developing new ones as business needs arise.
  • Enhancing team capabilities through the development and maintenance of departmental SOPs, training materials, and performance management.
  • Upholding the Fair Labor Association's Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc'teryx supply chain.
  • Collaborating with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training initiatives.
  • Adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to promote responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy.

Future Opportunities:

  • Reassessing and innovating supply planning processes in alignment with the vision of our vertical business.
  • Conducting in-depth analyses of internal and external workflows and collaborating with cross-functional teams to inspire shared goals for stronger partnerships.
  • Working with the Senior Manager of Supply Planning and the Sourcing department on supply planning improvements and optimization initiatives as they arise.
  • Partnering closely with Raw Materials and Merchandise Planning teams on strategies that enhance agility through our Sourcing streams.
  • Engaging with external vendors to identify and develop flexible buying options that align with our vertical business objectives.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Planning or a related Supply Chain role, preferably in the Apparel or outdoor industry, including 3+ years in a leadership capacity.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) designation, or project management designation.
  • Strong SAP and Excel skills for data management, insight generation, and enhancing supply planning efficiency.
  • Proven people management skills with the ability to lead, train, and mentor team members.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Comfortable in a high-growth environment and able to address ambiguity positively.
  • Strong attention to detail and adept at working with large volumes of data.
  • Proactive in identifying root causes of issues and developing effective solutions.
  • Highly flexible and adaptable when faced with uncertainty.
  • Able to balance autonomy with collaboration.
  • Inspiring innovative thinking and a commitment to continuous improvement.
