Chief Technology Officer

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Chief Technology Officer to join our team at Stonewood Group Inc. in Toronto. As a key member of our executive leadership group, you will be responsible for driving our technology strategy and leading our software development teams to deliver innovative solutions that meet our business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Technology Vision and Strategy: Develop and communicate a long-term technology vision and scalable technical architecture that aligns with our business objectives.
- Software Development Leadership: Lead our software development teams to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule, within budget, and meeting high-quality standards.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with our executive team, product management, and sales organizations to prioritize our product roadmap and ensure effective communication across the organization.
- Acquisitions and Partnerships: Identify potential acquisitions and 3rd party partnerships that align with our technology strategy and lead the successful integration of acquired or 3rd party technologies.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical and SaaS platform subject matter expertise to support our business growth and innovation.
- Leadership Experience: 15+ years of experience in increasingly senior software engineering roles, including 5+ years at an executive level.
- Technical Expertise: Expansive knowledge and enthusiasm for SaaS, with a university degree in computer science, software engineering, or related subjects.
- Team Management: Proven experience building and delivering a SaaS platform with full life cycle services, leading software engineering teams of at least 50 professionals across multiple locations.
- Industry Awareness: Demonstrated experience in anticipating and responding to industry and market changes/challenges.
- Role Expertise: Demonstrates critical technical or professional knowledge/skills related to the role.
- Planning & Objective Setting: Systematic in approach to work, producing action plans with clear objectives.
- Team Skills: Helps to create a sense of team spirit and harmonious relations through cooperation and support.
- People Management: Establishes and communicates clear priorities and sense of direction.
- Developing & Coaching Others: Accurately assesses strengths and development needs of employees.
- Customer/Client Orientation: Strives to provide customers/clients with personalized and efficient service.
- Industry & Market Awareness: Seeks to anticipate and respond to industry and market changes/challenges.
