Role Overview
Reporting directly to the Manager of Settlement and Structured Transactions, the Energy Market Settlement Analyst plays a crucial role in the reconciliation of energy market trades and long-term agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute daily and monthly settlement operations efficiently.
- Validate accounting entries for month-end accruals and invoices, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
- Analyze settlement algorithms within energy markets to enhance validation processes.
- Allocate revenues and charges accurately across the corporate structure.
- Conduct ongoing research to stay informed about market regulations affecting settlements.
- Assess and propose enhancements to current settlement processes and reports.
- Prepare and validate regulatory documentation.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy of financial and regulatory reporting.
- Participate in system improvements and project implementations, including User Acceptance Testing.
- Work with external partners to resolve any settlement discrepancies.
- Support the Manager with updates on daily operational activities.

- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- At least two years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within the energy sector.
- Familiarity with Industrial and Financial Systems (IFS) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Trade Capture and Data Validation Systems, such as Open Access Technology International, Inc. (OATI), is a plus.
Work Environment
This position requires on-site presence for a minimum of three days a week to facilitate effective collaboration.
