Southbridge Care Homes is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Activity Aide to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in creating engaging and meaningful experiences for our residents, fostering their well-being and happiness.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Supervisor to plan, implement, and evaluate individual and group activities tailored to the diverse needs of our residents.
  • Preparing activity spaces and assisting residents in transitioning to and from activity areas.
  • Providing enthusiastic support during activities, ensuring resident safety and enjoyment.
  • Maintaining accurate program and resident records according to established procedures.
  • Working collaboratively with other departments to ensure comprehensive care for our residents.

The ideal candidate possesses:

  • A post-secondary diploma or degree in recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or a related field.
  • A genuine passion for working with seniors and a commitment to enhancing their quality of life.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling clear and effective interaction with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Experience in program planning, implementation, and evaluation, particularly for individuals with cognitive differences.
  • A strong understanding of the unique needs and challenges faced by senior populations.
