POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a dedicated Tire Technician to become a vital part of our Mobile Maintenance team at Kirkland Lake Gold Ltd. This role will report directly to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Tire Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and performance of all tire-related operations on site. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting thorough inspections, measurements, and replacements of tires and rims on all mobile machinery.
- Performing regular assessments of tire and wheel components to ensure optimal performance.
- Operating light vehicles to evaluate reported tire issues on production and auxiliary equipment.
- Utilizing tire manipulators for the efficient exchange of wheel and tire assemblies.
- Maintaining accurate records of all equipment serviced, detailing the nature of repairs and conducting inventory of tires and accessories.
- Monitoring tire pressures to ensure compliance with specified limits, enhancing operational efficiency and extending tire lifespan.
- Upholding high standards of housekeeping and safety practices in the work environment.
- Ensuring tools are well-maintained and the work area remains clean and organized.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as an OTR Tire Technician.
- Familiarity with open pit mining equipment, particularly Ultra class size tires 795 and 798.
- Experience in operating tire manipulators.
- A strong background in a fast-paced production environment.
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- Proficiency in computer systems, including word order and tire monitoring systems.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a self-motivated approach.
- Experience in remote work settings is considered an asset.
