About the Role

iLola Inc. is seeking a skilled Wholesale Buyer to join our team. As a Wholesale Buyer, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of high-quality merchandise.
  • Negotiation and Procurement: Negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
  • Merchandise Selection: Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase, ensuring that it meets the company's standards and customer needs.
  • Inventory Management: Select and purchase merchandise for resale, taking into account inventory levels, sales trends, and customer demand.
Requirements
  • Education: College or CEGEP diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Urban area.
Specialization/Experience
  • Buying: Proven experience in buying and procurement.
  • Product Selection: Ability to select high-quality merchandise that meets customer needs.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to secure the best possible deals with suppliers.
