Job Summary

We are seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Waterloo. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload, collaborating with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders, and working collaboratively with our Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Pharmacy Manager in the day-to-day management of workload
  • Collaborate with Pharmacists and Pharmacy Assistants to fulfill prescription orders
  • Work collaboratively with Rx Connect Specialty Pharmacy Patient Programs to fulfill pharmacy responsibilities
  • Prepare and review billings, claims, disbursements, and related documents
  • Enter prescriptions into the computer and retrieve and/or correct data
  • Order, maintain, and prepare inventory of medications
  • Pack and ship prescription orders
  • Receive and maintain accurate inventory
  • Liaise with private and public insurance providers to determine coverage options
  • Act as a central liaison for stakeholders such as physicians, nurses, patients, and clinics and provide required updates
Requirements
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Two or more years of related pharmacy experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge of pharmacy operations
  • Bilingualism, French/English is an asset
