Key Responsibilities- Design and Production
- Study plans, specifications, or drawings of articles to be made, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operate computer-aided design (CADD) and other software systems to create and modify designs.
- Cabinet Assembly and Finishing
- Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete units, reinforcing joints as needed.
- Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, preparing and applying laminated plastics.
- Apply varnish, veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, ensuring a high-quality finish.
- Quality Control and Safety
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety protocols.
- Supervise other workers, ensuring they follow safety procedures and meet quality standards.
- Estimation and Repair
- Estimate costs and materials for projects, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products, meeting customer requirements.
- Education and Experience
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or a related field.
- Work Environment
- Fast-paced environment with attention to detail required.
- Personal Suitability
- Accurate, organized, and a team player.
35 hours per week, permanent position, working in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
