About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at TROSC Incorporated. As an Ophthalmic Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our ophthalmologists and optometrists in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with administrative duties such as recording test results, medications given by ophthalmologists, and maintaining accurate patient records.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments, as well as prepare and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Patient Care: Administer eye drops, ointments, and medications as directed by ophthalmologists, and take patients' general medical and ophthalmic history.
  • Support Services: Assist healthcare professionals with various tasks, including operating ophthalmic testing and measuring instruments, and processing files and paperwork.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: Will train, or equivalent experience.
Work Environment

As an Ophthalmic Assistant at TROSC Incorporated, you will work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with attention to detail. You will be required to walk and stand for extended periods.
